Originally built in 1983, our stables have since been extended. They are well-equipped and well-maintained with room for 25 horses.
With 70 acres of open countryside and 20 acres of woodland including a woodland canter track for more advanced riders and woodland trail for beginners and pony rides, we are able to offer outdoor riding opportunities for riders of all levels.
Indoor riding school
Our massive indoor school is one of the largest of its type in the region, measuring 56m x 26m. It is fully equipped with good quality lighting, mirrors, music and a large seating area – all visible from the café, of course!
Our outdoor arena, measuring 45m x 25m is perfect for competitions or for flatwork and jumping lessons. It gives us the versatility to teach several classes at once, meaning more chances for you to find your perfect riding lesson.
We have a café serving hot drinks. You are also welcome to bring your own food. There’s a large car park, bicycle racks (we’re only a 20 minute bike ride from the centre of Bristol), reception area, clean toilets – in fact everything you would expect from a first class facility near the centre of Bristol.
We take great pride in our equipment, whether it’s tack or jumps, wooden doors or paths. Everything is kept clean and well maintained, so that you can enjoy your riding safely.
Health & Safety
We take Health and Safety very seriously. Your health and wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do, as is that of the horses and ponies that we love so much. Our approach is exemplary and rigorous – it has to be, because of our status as an RDA centre.
Accessibility and wheelchair access was a priority when building the stables and facilities here, so it is all fully accessible.
