We are no longer accepting beginner riders. However, if you are confident riding in walk, trot and canter and able to control the horse in these paces we have spaces available. If you are interested in riding with us, please complete and return a Rider Registration Form Updated TCs – July 2018 and we will be in touch.
We run lessons for all levels: Children (aged 8+), teenagers and adults; beginners, returners, intermediates and advanced, although we cannot accommodate riders over 12 stone 7lbs (79kg). We make sure you are carefully matched with a pony or horse, and our assessment process assures that you will join a class where you will be appropriately challenged.
Our huge indoor and outdoor arenas are in use all year round. As well as being on the doorstep of the Blaise Castle Estate, we have 100 acres of our own rural land available for hacking to give you the best possible riding experience.
We’re sorry that we are currently unable to offer one-off hacks, treks or birthday parties.
• Lessons take place weekly on Tuesday to Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons and cost £130 per month
We specialise in small group lessons of similar-ability riders. Email a Rider Registration Form Updated Tcs Feb 2018* to and we’ll find the best possible group for you.
*Please note, we are unable to process forms that are saved as Pages documents. Please save as pdf format.
Supervised hacks are available to those of our regular riders who have been signed off as safe to take part.
So close to Bristol City Centre, it’s a surprise to most first-time visitors that we have 100 acres of private woodlands and meadows, accessible without crossing a single road. It’s a uniquely secure environment for hacking, which still offers the variety of terrain, wildlife and views that you might find in “real” countryside. The bluebells are particularly wonderful in the spring. Not to mention that just across Kingsweston Road, we have all the bridleways of the Blaise Castle Estate at our disposal.
Events / Competitions / Holiday Activities
We host regular events and competitions here, including our own Unaffiliated Winter Dressage Series. These often sell out. Please make sure you get your forms in early.
In addition we run holiday activities for our younger riders such as “Own a Pony” days, week-long “Riding Camps” and one-off “Pony Picnics”. We have everything you need to keep yourself amused during the holidays
